Rishikesh wasn't a place we simply visited. We lived here, worked here, made friends here, and slowly discovered the little things that make this city special.
Over seven years, we got to know Rishikesh beyond the places you find in a guidebook — the quieter roads, peaceful mornings by the Ganges, evening walks, the ghats, the sound of temple bells, and those simple moments when the city seems to slow down.
That is where the idea for Evara by the Ganges began.
We created Evara in Nirmal Bagh, Visthapith, Rishikesh as a home for ourselves — a place where we could wake up close to the Ganges, enjoy a quiet morning, cook a meal, sit on the balcony, and simply take a break from everyday life.
Eventually, we realised that this was the kind of Rishikesh experience we wanted to share with others.
So we opened our home to travellers looking for a peaceful stay in Rishikesh, a comfortable riverside home near the Ganges, and a chance to experience the city at a slower, more personal pace.

We're Tarun and Mona, the couple behind Evara — building experiences here, one guest at a time. Tarun built Evara from scratch and has called it home ever since. Mona has looked after every corner of it like it's her own baby, from the smallest detail in each apartment to making sure every guest genuinely feels welcome.
